    The Digital Technical Specialist role is the ideal place to leverage your passion for being a member of a dynamic sales team that is bringing true digital transformation to customers.

    As a Digital Technical Specialist , you will be joining the Digital Sales organization leveraging cutting edge, industry-leading, virtual engagement tools and best practices with data-first analytics to generate customer-centric business applications demand and land new logos.

    You work remotely with a geographically dispersed sales pursuit team.

    You will be a technically intense workload digital technical seller within the Microsoft sales organization working with our most important customers.

    You play a key role in the total sales cycle by helping customers with their end-to-end business transformation needs through conceptualizing, designing and demonstrating solutions mapped to business value within your workload.

    Executing with excellence you will collaborate across the sales opportunity journey with the Business Applications sales team, Microsoft partners and ISVs, other Technical Specialists and our Customer Success team.

    Who We Are Looking For

    To excel in the Digital Technical Specialist role you must have the following traits and abilities :

    Technically Intense Workload Technical Seller Demonstrating experience in your workload to customers within a team of remote virtual sellers through functional, technical, and process-level knowledge using the latest digital tools and techniques.

  • Strategic & Proactive Pursuit Team Member Strategic thinker with proactive engagement throughout the pursuit sales cycle;
  • removes blockers, challenges the status quo, unblocks design / technical stale mate, brings clarity from ambiguity by displaying a growth mindset.

    Technical Team Collaborator Collaborates with a geographically dispersed pursuit team of technically intense workload peers including other Technical Specialists with expertise other than yours, co-sell partners, and Independent Software Vendors to design and virtually demonstrate a solution that maps business value with the end-to-end business transformation needs of the customer.

    Customer-centric Solution Designer Customer-centric solution designer who employs Design Thinking principles focusing on customer business outcomes.

    Differentiated & Business Value / Outcome-driven Demonstrator Remotely demonstrates solution capabilities and associated business value addressing customer business decision maker persona needs / pains.

    Scale Customer Engagments

  • Identifies and engages with customer technical decision makers proactively while engaging sales team and delivering / driving sales strategy.
  • Uses knowledge of customer context and deep technical, domain, cross-solution, and market / industry knowledge and experience to build credibility with customers individually or at scale.
  • Leads and ensures complex technical wins cross-workload, cross-team, cross-geo, subsidiary-level impact) by establishing rules of engagement role boundaries, handoff strategies), coaching others technical sellers, account teams), leveraging knowledge of processes Managed Service Provider MSP , co-sell partners), tools, and programs FastTrack, End Customer Investment Funds ECIFs );
  • ensures and drives alignment of Microsoft technologies with future sector standards and requirements by working with industry boards and driving customer case studies and references.

  • Leverages knowledge of resources roles, Microsoft Technology Center MTC , demo sites, virtual sites) and proactively engages product and support teams to remediate escalated technical blockers by conveying impact and anticipating and addressing future potential blockers based on needs.
  • Scale Through Partners

  • Scales wins through partner in a sell-with environment by promoting the partner within the Microsoft ecosystem account teams) and drives the orchestration model for partner engagement at scale.
  • Build Strategy

  • Builds competitive knowledge, documents compete patterns across solution areas, and shares within the community to drive change and escalations for competitive selling strategies.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on a particular competition. Delivers competitive knowledge back to product and engineering teams.

  • Proactively develops strategic cross-workload / subsidiary and account-level responses to specific market threats by identifying market patterns and delivering feedback to business group on industry trends and needs.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer (VOC) by acting as a role model for leveraging various internal resources OneList, End Customer Investment Funds ECIFs ) and mentoring peers on best practices around internal resource usage.
  • Participates in Microsoft centric operations and cadences to align with customers as needed. Acts as a go-to resource for customer success..

  • Works with local marketing teams to provide feedback on corporate domain messages. Works with account teams to tailor and drive the win plans to audience for the local markets using knowledge of Microsoft offerings, their context in the competitive landscape, and broader market trends.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and provides input on proactive action plans to promote customer usage of key / prioritized Microsoft solutions / products that support customer’s business outcomes.
  • Identifies opportunities to promote usage.

    Solution Design and Proof

  • Applies, customizes, and guides colleagues to use existing demonstration assets. Demonstrates and oversees demonstrations architectural design sessions ADS , proof of concept POC sessions, pilots, hackathons) of solutions and position solutions against competitors.
  • Leverages partner / customer teams as needed to prove capabilities and programmatic framework for re-use by the business.

    Leads the review of partner demonstrations and supports partners to ensure alignment with Microsoft standards.

  • Adapts and extends architecture patterns across technologies / solution areas to accommodate complex customer requirements and drive integration solutions for industry flavor.
  • Delivers assets that can be leveraged by others in the business.

  • Applies and adapts sales methodologies catalyst, challenger sales) to guide customers through digital transformation as a trusted advisor across solution areas and uses innovation to challenge solutions against changing technology Power Apps).
  • Technical Leadership

  • Builds readiness plans for peers and proactively identifies gaps and new opportunities for learning. Identifies connections across platforms / workloads to promote collaborative learning.
  • Leads and / oversees group training or one-to-many events workshops, Webinars) to present and educate customers, partners, and colleagues with subject matter expertise across Microsoft solution areas / products.
  • Monitors, responds to, and acts as a thought leader on internal and external tech community posts, establishes and leads vibrant tech communities, including community calls, sessions, hackathon, etc.
  • and acts as a mentor to the community.


    Required / Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experienceOR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experienceOR equivalent experience
  • Experience with client facing storytelling
  • Designing Thinking
  • Fluent in Spanish, English & Portuguese
  • Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or related experience.
  • 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and / or technology management.
  • Certification in relevant (Microsoft or industry) technologies or disciplines Microsoft Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).
