The Engineering Project / Program Management Professional supports the Ciena Routing and Switch Product team (RSP) in releasing products to market.
The Role :
The role is responsible for working in collaboration with RSP Engineers, Management, and adjacent teams, worldwide, to enable optimized use of internal infrastructure assets, long and short term, and to increase Engineering productivity worldwide.
The role is part of an R&D organization that designs, releases, and sustains Routing and Switching products for deployment in large Carriers and Internet Service Providers.
This role includes responsibility for planning and managing company resources to execute development project or project components from design phase through implementation.
Identifies and communicates project scope and ensures program milestones and objectives are met. Ensures effective communication between technical and non-technical functions.
Coordinates project schedules, monitors budget and assigns tasks. Keeps management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
