Become a trusted advisor to customers

As a Helpdesk Administrator, you will provide world-class support to Akamai employees. You will analyze and resolve complex technical issues, with focus on Linux, Mac and Windows operating systems.

You will work closely with Senior Administrators and Specialists on problem escalations and resolutions and liaise with internal customers.

As a Help Desk Administrator, you will be responsible for :

  • Providing world-class support to customers through ownership, resolution and appropriate escalation of issues and trouble tickets
  • Acting as a technical resource to provide support via remote channels such as voice, chat and tickets
  • Developing tools and ideas to improve Helpdesk efficiency and productivity
  • Designing and drafting knowledge based articles to share and provide information to help create self-solutions for our customers
  • Taking ownership of your customers and tickets to deliver global support services to our user community

    To be successful in this role you will :

  • Have a high school diploma or a technical degree and experience of working in a customer facing environment
  • Have good experience of working as a customer advocate and approaching problems with a logical thought process
  • Be action-orientated and be able to identify areas for innovation and improvement
  • Demonstrate business level, written and spoken communication skills with fluency in spoken English
  • Have the ability to log and record information on our internal systems
  • Have the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrate a logical thought process to problem solving and troubleshooting skills
