Feb 6, 2019, 9 : 59 : 11 AM Responsibilities The Project Engineer is a hands-on position to configure, install, and fine tune ESI’s pipeline modeling software.
Job responsibilities include :
Create and enforce project specific standards, augment and enhance our solutions, benchmark individual and application performance metrics as well as estimate level of effort for initiatives.
Develop, manage, and implement deliverables of our cross-functional teams that are focused on implementing our products for the Oil and Gas industry.
Managing existing implementations, and conducting internal R&D initiatives.
Understanding of pipeline business and operations.
Deep commitment to quality, self-improvement, team-oriented development.
Work collaboratively with management, employees and project resources to execute on prioritized work and ensure deadlines are met with the expected level of quality.
Develop an excellent technical proficiency with ESI products related to engineering in order to meet the primary responsibilities of the role.
Review / update technical design specifications.
Participate in functional, regression and performance testing.
Triage and track issues.
Review and recommend solutions to problems that involve a number of possible alternatives which may not be clearly defined.
Researches problems and prepares reports and / or studies regarding findings.
Provides information and interpretation of data for use by ESI or customers.
Come up with decisions and / or resolutions to problems that are confined to the selection of appropriate courses of actions within the limits of defined procedure.
Plans own work in order to properly perform job and meet scheduled deadlines, but does not plan the work of others.
Knowledge of the Company’s policies and procedures in order to carry out assignments and adapt to unusual situations.
3-5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, software and / or Pipeline Engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a physical science.
Knowledge of pipeline operations.
Oil & Gas experience.
Knowledge of software systems applications.
Experience with pipeline hydraulics.
Knowledge of SCADA systems, instrumentation, and process control.
Experience with C / C++, C#, .NET, SQL programming languages and / or other programing languages and tools.
Passionate about technology and applying it to business processes.
Self-starter able to work independently.
Excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting customers’ requests / issues.
Excellent communication with the clients and the rest of the implementation team.
