Your Role

The IT Support Technician for Gensler’s Costa Rica office will support the computing environment for one of the world’s largest Design firms.

The candidate should be able to provide 1st and 2nd level desktop system administration support. The person in this position will interact with local and regional employees daily to solve problems and enhance the technology requirements of the office.

The candidate must be willing to work in a dynamic environment, have excellent communication skills.

What You Will Do

  • Primary responsibility is to take ownership of Service Desks tickets and see to their resolution.
  • Assist the LATAM IT Administrator with specialized tasks according to your professional profile, including but not limited to : Asset Management, Network Configuration, IT procedures / policies documentation, Server Configuration and equipment purchase.
  • Provide technical assistance to Studios when they have client / vendor meetings.
  • Help in the design and implementation of new technology related projects for the office and region.
  • Your Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of experience in Technical support, Customer Service or similar areas.
  • Last year student, or Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related area.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoin
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Network Administration technologies
  • English proficient 85% or higher
  • Must have excellent communication skills verbal and written in both Spanish and English
  • Experience with virtualized environments (VMware), databases, active directory and SCCM
  • Schedule flexibility
  • Customer Service experience
  • Bonus Skills (not required) :

  • Networking+ certification.
  • Cisco CCNA module 1 and 2
  • Microsoft MCSA
  • Microsoft A+ Certified
  • SQL Certification or related.
