TE Connectivity’s Technical Engineering Support Teams analyze, test and assist in research for the development of products and processes.
Team members may specialize in quality control or assurance, chemical manufacturing processes, metals, electrical connectors and components, process development, materials, and / or instrumentation.
They may also handle calibration, displays, network control, mold development and audiovisual work or environmental health and safety.
The Technical Engineering Support Teams are responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
They plan, prioritize, and manage multiple engineering projects; prioritize tasks and assign team members to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met.
They evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project. At times, they may work directly with customers to understand needs, gather customer requirements, identify resources and assess project risks.
They create, develop, plan, write and edit operational, instructional, maintenance or test procedures for paper, multimedia or web-based publication, for non-technical and technical users.
What your background should look like :
Investigate supplier complaints and internal non-conformities related to raw materials. Carry out and document the analysis of the causes;
determine corrective action and verification of effectiveness.
Ensure the corrective and preventive action plans that are developed and executed related to supplier defects.
Assist in the coordination of the processes of continuous improvement of the supplier quality system.
Assist in coordinating process changes for approved suppliers.
Create and modify current procedures and instructions.
Develop and analyze statistical data and specifications to determine standards and establish quality expectations for products.
Provide support in the validation of new equipment or processes related to the incoming area.
Provide support in the allocation and coordination of input resources.
Conduct training for staff to ensure compliance with company procedures.
Prepare and present technical information and schedule for team members and management.
Provide support in supplier audits to ensure compliance with applicable standards / regulatory requirements and organizations and ISO.
Prepare reports to communicate supplier and incoming quality metrics.
Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance standards.
To function as a resource for matters related to the Quality System.
Guarantee a high level of service to internal and external clients.
Make improvements that minimize the cost of quality, specifically rejects, failures and any production defect related to raw materials and consumables.
Work with production in solving problems related to production and quality with raw materials and consumables.
Follow all the functions assigned to you by Supplier Quality Engineering and Inbound Supervision.
Education and Experience :
At least one year to complete the engineering degree.
CQE / CSSBB certification desirable.
0-1 year of experience in similar positions.
Language : bilingual English / Spanish (English intermediate-advanced level)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Intermediate knowledge in Excel
Knowledge in creating dashboards in Power Bi (desirable)
Knowledge of problem solving and negotiation techniques.
Knowledge of job requirements in the medical industry (FDA regulations)
Knowledge of statistical tools, software quality and reliability
Knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and monitoring process control (SPC).
Knowledge in process improvement, Six Sigma, product and qualification and validation process.
Knowledge of the FDA, GMP and ISO 13485.
Knowledge of measurement instruments, sampling plans.
