About the role :
The British Standards Institution (BSI) is hiring a Supply Chain Security Manager who will be a key member of the Global Security Strategic Product Solutions team, assisting with supply chain policy, project management, audit, and supply chain compliance, as well as ensuring proper support is provided to internal partners working on confidential projects.
The need can be based in the San Jose, CA; New York, NY; Austin TX; or Seattle, WA.
Supply Chain Security Manager Responsibilities :
Manages a global supply chain security program which protects our most unique programs connecting people and communities, while aligning with global Security function goals
Will build scalable and consistent supply chain security programs, while enabling the business with innovative solutions that allow to move fast while focusing on our goal of connecting the unconnected
Maximize partnerships with internal and external management staff from business teams across verticals that include Engineers, Logistics, Trade Ops, Legal, Risk Management, Customer Service, Freight Forwarders and other 3PLs
Maintains a recognized Best in Class supply chain security program
Assist with global trade security programs such as C-TPAT and participate with others in global and regional trade security initiatives
Conducts virtual / on-site audits of vendors and transit lanes where client product is regularly moved and / or stored / manufactured or developed
Assess the supply chain landscape and recommend modifications to security plans and supply chain security operations at both the regional and global level
Define processes / procedures as well as implement those procedures
The position will work with external service providers to leverage cargo security resources and to monitor compliance with contractual security requirements
Education / Qualifications :
Five (5) to eight (8) years of relevant supply chain security experience
Qualified candidates must have experience managing complex, multi country supply chain security projects & programs, involving multiple stakeholders
Candidate must have experience successfully managing third party vendors
Candidate must have knowledge and field experience in supply chain security, TAPA requirements, C-TPAT, AEO and other trade security initiatives
Working knowledge of assured destruction operations and chain of custody processes. Focused on end to end security requirements and process development
Strong collaborator with proven ability to build successful cross functional relationships across all levels of the organization
Strategic thinker, who can also support operations when necessary
Outstanding customer service, communication, and presentation skills
Possesses excellent planning and organizational skills
Demonstrates courage with difficult issues despite personal risk or discomfort
Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills that drive results
Knowledge of processes & procedures development
Able to write clearly and succinctly in technical and non-technical formats
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays and to handle on-call responsibilities
Candidates who possess experience working with global partners in both infrastructure and manufacturing sectors, are encouraged to apply
Ability to travel (including internationally) up to 35%, with little notice to accomplish assignment responsibilities
