REPORTING OPERATIONS ANALYST
The Reporting Operations Analyst role will be responsible for executing a wide variety of database focused analysis and reporting activities.
In this role, the analyst will benefit from knowledge of a wide variety of data analysis and Business Intelligence tools such as SQL Server, SSRS, MicroStrategy, Tableau, Teradata, and others.
The role requires a strong foundation in relational databases, ability to understand business requirements and work with requestors to develop reporting solutions and dashboards to meet their needs, and the ability to work in a fast-
paced environment with shifting priorities and tight timelines.
Produce accurate, timely results in response to complex, time-bound reporting needs.
Serve a multitude of functions including but not limited to : business analysis, data extractions, file creation, data analysis, report / dashboard design / creation
Work with a variety of requestors (BSAs, clients, managers, operations, etc.) to analyze and understand requirements (intent).
Run exception reports and provide results to clients, vendors and peers
Gather data requirements for reports / dashboards, proof-of-concepts for BI initiatives
Design, build, and implement reporting solutions which meet user requirements.
Maintain and support existing reports, reporting tools, and reporting libraries.
Create and maintain technical documentation.
Interact and correspond professionally with team members, project management, clients, and other stakeholders.
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in information technology.
Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job
Demonstrated and sustained professional experience in reporting, data visualization and presentation, BI, and / or data warehousing.
Working knowledge with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
Demonstrated ability to develop effective reporting solutions from business requirements.
Strong SQL skills, able to create and to evaluate complex SQL statements involving numerous tables and complex relationships.
SSIS experience desired.
Experience with ServiceNow reporting and dashboards is considered a plus.
Experience with Tableau or another BI technology considered a plus.
Must have general knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Advanced Excel skills is considered a plus.
Ability to work in an environment with deadlines and shifting priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; able to adjust for intended audience.
Highly accountable self-starter with the ability to work well within a group, as well as independently.
Confident and energetic with good follow-though.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements.
