The VMware Telco NFV Group is responsible for producing and selling mission-critical cloud solutions for wide area telecom network environments.
We assist VMware product management and engineering to bring together existing VMware products into pre-configured NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) solutions.
We then help the VMware field sell and deliver these solutions into telecommunications service providers worldwide. Through our flagship solution, vCloud NFV platform, we help VMware and our customers stay at the forefront of innovation in telecommunications networks.
The VMware Telco NFV Group is a nexus of solution innovation at VMware that integrates engineering, products and services from across the company into cohesive offerings for the emerging and dynamic NFV market segment.
This role is a driver in one of the fastest growing businesses at VMware. The successful candidate will partner with the NFV team and other organizational stakeholders to provide scalable operational excellence that will enable the projected growth of NFV business.
This candidate will drive sales processes, process improvement projects and provide critical business insight through data analysis that will help drive sales effectiveness.
Provide critical business insight based on analysis of data trends and identify issues to support and steer business growth.
Develop and manage key operational dashboards and status reports.
Support executive report out on NFV operational metrics.
Lead performance processes and KPI measurements including : forecasting, opportunity pipeline, sales compensation etc.
Drive data quality, process and automation to improve process efficiencies.
Act as subject matter expertise on cross functional projects and initiatives.
Act as a change agent to improve sales processes. Process definition, documentation and training. Drive process enhancements with measurable results and alignment with cross functional stakeholders.
3 - 5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Operations or Finance preferably in IT environment
Superior analytical skills
Self-motivated with good time and project management skills
Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Strength in researching, understanding and succinctly explaining complex business issues and analyzing business impacts.
Strong MS Excel skills
Experience using CRM applications; Salesforce.com a plus
Experience in an Enterprise software sales environment a plus
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field
