NXP San Jose is looking for an experienced Product Quality Engineer
Active participation on New Product Introduction and Product Changes by defining, implementing, monitoring and improving Qualification requirements by providing quality tools and best practices driving continuous improvements towards Zero Defects.
Apply learning from previous Qualifications, considering past failure mechanisms and effective re-use of existing data to drive down qualification cycle time
Perform risk assessments using reliability acceleration models and statistical failure rate models, such as Weibull and Chi-square for calculations of fallout predictions, FIT, PPM and MTTF.
Comply with JEDEC, AEC and other ZVEI type industry standards.
Lead problem solving team to resolve customer experienced problems using quality tools like 8D, 3x5Why, IS-IS NOT, Fault Tree Analysis.
Analyze manufacturing deviations and evaluate risks to disposition affected product by Material Review Board (MRB).
Assist business line and quality system team to govern customer audit / visit in compliance with industrial standard, customer specific requirements, corporate quality procedure.
Specific Knowledge / Skills :
Bachelor / Master degree in Electronics or equivalent, with 5 years+ experience in the semiconductor industry
Experience with microprocessors / microcontrollers is a plus.
Project management and statistical modelling practice (6sigma certificate is highly recommended).
Strong understanding of reliability theories & methods, the Semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership in a multicultural environment.
Ability to take initiative and thrive in a virtual team working environment. Self-directed to deliver win-win performance.
