  • University degree in computer applications, engineering, business management, statistics, actuarial science (with strong quantitative background)
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong modeling skills using Excel, Visual Basic for Application (VBA)
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Strong knowledge of fundamental business concepts; operations research and statistical techniques is a plus
  • Able to work with and coach effectively a diverse group of team members
  • Flexibility, patience and an understanding of fluid, demanding and unstructured environments where priorities evolve constantly
  • Entrepreneurial and proactively thinking about potential improvements to how things are done
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions

  • Who You'll Work With

    You’ll be based in our San Jose office and will be part of our McKinsey Transformation team.You will also spend your time working with the data analytics group, McKinsey transformation and consulting teams in McKinsey.

    McKinsey Transformation (MT) is a special unit of McKinsey that delivers a proven approach for transformational change to clients seeking radical and sustainable performance improvement.

    The center of the MT methodology is the Transformation Office (TO), the team at the heart of every transformation that orchestrates all other client and McKinsey activity.

    At the core of the Transformation Office is the Transformation Acceleration Analyst (TA Analyst), who intimately understands the methodology and all the tools and processes required to deliver a transformation.

    What You'll Do

    You will apply your data engineering skill-sets and business concepts to transform clients solving real life complex problems and deliver long term sustainable impact.

    In this role, you’ll work through the transformation methodology and get a complete 360-degree experience of our end to end work with clients.

    You will work with clients to set-up and execute a best in class transformation office and the related performance infrastructure.

    You will deploy McKinsey’s transformation management tool (Wave) and various assets / solutions critical to a transformation spanning across organization health, working capital, client capability building, etc.

    You will enable cadence planning, impact capturing, program management and financial models drawing upon analytical tools e.

    g. Excel, VBA.Working hand in hand with team members from clients, consultants and multiple firm capabilities, you will ensure seamless delivery, provide guidance and leadership to teams.

    You will also coach clients, pull in the latest firm developments in technology and client service to advance the current practice and challenge consultant / client mindsets about what is possible and how things are done. Functions
