Core responsibilities :

  • Enable eBay to become more customer centric by facilitating access to customer insights and research data
  • Create and maintain a portal allowing internal partners to get key customer insights and data from a wide range of research studies
  • Evaluate various alternatives for self-service tools and portals being used by other internal teams and decide how best to consolidate and improve value
  • Partner with research and insights teams across the business to make the insights' portal comprehensive and reflective of all research work going on in eBay (& thereby reduce overlap and duplication of effort)
  • Develop understanding of internal partner needs regarding self-service capabilities
  • Drive awareness of portals and self-service resources among the wider business
  • Communicate existing customer insights to a wider audience internally, enabling a broader set of people and teams within eBay to make decisions in a customer-centric way
  • Improve accessibility of eBay customer data to internal teams, enabling better self-service capabilities for employees to access data themselves
  • Share insights news and updates across the business through newsletters, webinars, joining partner team meetings and sharing content across the business
  • Skills & experience :

  • Desire to enable customer-centricity within organizations
  • Experience with communication of insights with an organization
  • Strong networking / partnering with other equivalent teams to find opportunities to collaborate and partner
  • Ability to work with external 3rd party vendors to create and develop internal tools
  • Desire to empathize with customers and genuinely understand their needs and motivation
  • Ability to take insights and customer voice and influence the plans and strategies of partner organizations
  • Effective communication of key insights and recommendations to partners
  • Experience generating customer insights and running customer research programmes end to end
  • Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and formulate effective plans to address
