The Process Manager position is part of the Change Management Team (CMT) within Renewals Sales Operations. The CMT is responsible for driving all change request within the organization, whether it is a production issue, automation, or enhancement.
The team consist of talented individual contributors that come together to always get the job done. The team is skilled and knowledgeable in a variety of areas which allow the new process implementation to take place.
As a Process Manager, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and optimizing renewal sales processes. You will work with management and business teams to help lead significant process automation, optimizations and merge & acquisitions that will enable VMware to establish next generation for running the renewals sales business.
The focus and main objective of this position is to evaluate design, execute, measure, monitor and control business processes.
Managers work to ensure that business process outcomes are in harmony with an organization’s strategic goals. This person will need to focus on the entire process from beginning to end, introducing innovation into the process that can impact results, enhance profitability, and assist the organization to meet its business objectives and goals.
Essential Functions (Tasks and Responsibilities) :
Coordinate a team that will be responsible for process assessments, and process design and redesign.
Lead Tier 1 projects from start to finish.
Develop and implement process solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Prepare business process reports for management and customers.
Controlling, monitoring, measuring, executing, designing, and evaluating business processes.
Drive major process re-engineering efforts by leading business owners to define future state processes by conducting process design / requirements & workshops.
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in reporting and processes and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices.
Provide training programs on new processes as needed.
Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and allocating resources
Review and approve technical approach and design documentation.
Collaborate with Business and IT to define roadmap to reach to-be state. Review, recommend and implement industry standard tools as appropriate to deliver scalable solutions.
Communicating with executives or the board to keep the projects aligned with their goals.
Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed.
Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up to date on project results.
Utilizing formal and informal written communication methods (for example, emails, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, executive updates, task lists, updates, Jira) to communicate updates and findings
Facilitating project meetings and presentations to all types of diverse audiences (for example, senior management, business partners, technical staff)
Motivate people involved in the project to complete tasks on time.
Ensure efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones, following proper escalation paths.
Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance during QA / UAT phase.
Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
Meet with project team regularly to review project deliverable and deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial engineering, computer Science or equivalent required.
5+ years of experience as a Process Manager, Project Manager or similar positions
Able to design your own reports in BI platforms such as Tableau, SAP, Wave Analytics, etc.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, knowledge in visual basic for excel is a plus.
Understanding of key performance indicators that helps in measuring success of a Sales Business.
Strong expertise in Process Re-engineering, Process Optimization, Process Standardization and Automation, and exposure to Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Ability to effectively communicate with Senior management, Directors and partner in multiple countries and different time zones.
Able to operate in an Agile development methodology
You should be a self-starter, motivated individual and able to lead the team through ambiguous situations.
Knowledge in scrum methodology, SCRUM master desirable
Six sigma certifications desirable
Experience with project management tools nice to have (Visio, blue works, Microsoft project)
PMI, PMP desirable
Great communication skills
Technical understanding of SFDC is a plus
