Job Role and Responsibilities
Learning and development is a business-critical priority for engaging and retaining VMware employees, increasing performance, and staying competitive.
Centralized Learning Services (CLS) is part of the HR Services and Technology team (HRST). CLS provides application administration, tier 1 and 2 support, and consultation services that enable VMware Learning Professionals to deploy technology-rich, high-impact Learning and Development solutions.
Your role as a Senior Business Analyst is to work closely with VMware Learning Professionals to understand their needs and identify how best to leverage, optimize, and / or enable L&D application functionality to enhance their learning solutions.
You will also be responsible to provide second level application support to our application administrators to resolve complex issues to ensure on time delivery of learning solutions.

3 to 5 years of industry experience in a LMS, LXP, LRS, eLearning Content Creation platforms, etc.
Must have prior experience working with the diverse L&D technology ecosystem - with experience in implementing the standard methodologies in learning catalog management, application optimization, troubleshooting e-learning content packages with SCORM / AICC standards, Windows / iOS / Android devices, etc.
Must have strong consultation, project, and stakeholder management skills, specifically leading cross functional efforts to tackle complex requests while working through dependencies on others with informal authority
Must have solid HR business acumen and ability to recommend and build the best solution to address the specific business problem
Must have strong written and spoken English skills and able to build relationships across different regions
Provide guidance on application and process changes and recommend improvement opportunities while considering possible impacts
Flexible and resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, and adaptable to a high-change environment
MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Management Information System, Business Administration, Human Resources, or relevant field of study
Proficient in supporting and administering LMS, LXP, LRS, eLearning Platforms, or related systems and tools skills
Proficient in MS Office (e.g., Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of relational databases, and familiarity with statistical packages and analysis techniques
Experience with Salesforce ticketing solution
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Enterprise level experience
Comfortable with executive-level management interaction
Effective presentation skills
Passion for solving complex business needs with new and innovative technology solutions
Experience implementing both learning platforms and applications
This role is flexible. We are currently remote but post pandemic, work will be done from an office 1 or 2 days during the week and otherwise from a non-VMware building anywhere within Costa Rica.
