Job Description

This is a key role within the Pointnext Technology Services Supply Chain Organization.

  • With responsibility for setting proactive, strategic, supply chain lifecycle strategies and supporting Pointnext Technology Services Supply Chain goals and priorities, the Product Lifecycle Manager is also a focal point for spare parts strategy execution, over the various lifecycles of a product;
  • from New Product Introduction (NPI) through to End of Life (EOL) management.

    Job specifics / responsibilities :

    Has overall accountability for NPI, Sustaining and EOL projects in order to meet all deadlines and deliverables.

    Satisfy customer requirements by recommending the most effective Pointnext Technology Services Supply Chain approach by considering a suite of current and new solutions.

    Develop and foster strategic relationships with stakeholders across Pointnext and other HPE business units, to maximize the value of the role by aligning spare parts supply chain strategies with business priorities.

  • Act as extended member of the Engineering and Quality (E&Q) Leadership Team to understand business priorities and translate the business requirement into lifecycle plans;
  • comprehensive to the industry and the marketplace.

    Interact with various stakeholders, including Directors as appropriate, to develop strategic approaches to ensure supply chain’s value is optimised.

    Lead and / or participate in cross functional Category Management Teams (CMTs) and global / geographical programme teams to develop and implement supply chain improvement opportunities.

    Develop knowledge of spare parts supply chain spend categories and the external market.

    Promote & demonstrate compliance to E&Q policies and procedures.

    Enable effective communication across Pointnext Technology Services Supply Chain functions and other HPE groups on project status and lifecycle roadmaps.

    Support projects on the Pointnext Technology Services Supply Chain plan of record.

    Customers and partners, where applicable

    Education (degree) and professional experience required :

    University degree in a business or supply chain discipline. Advanced university degree preferred.

    Typically 4-6 years of experience in a supply chain organization.

    Experience within several supply chain functions (Engineering, Material Planning, Procurement, Logistics and Operations) is a strong advantage.

    At least 3 years Project Management / Program Management experience. Project management certification is considered an advantage.

    Strong background in leading teams in a cross-functional, virtual environment and a proven track record of delivering tangible results.

    Other requirements :

    Fluent in written and verbal English

    Very strong understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver).

    Strong project management skills, with capability to manage cross functional teams in multiple geographies.

    Strong business acumen & a robust understanding of HPE’s supply chain strategy.

    Personal skills and qualities :

    Very strong communication and influencing skills.

    Very strong internal and external relationship management skills.

    Strong analytical skills

    Strong leadership skills including team-building and conflict resolution and management

    A proven ability to manage complexity by applying emotional intelligence
