Position Purpose This position is a key member of the Financial Shared Services RTR Accounting team, which provides accounting services for Cargill Business Units and Functions.
This person is responsible for General Ledger Accounting activities; including accounting for administrative expenses, allocations, monthly journal entries, month-
end general ledger close, financial consolidations and reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations. This position will be required to cross train in the RTR Accounting team to create depth and provide support to other team members.
May serve as backup for critical tasks for other members. Principal Accountabilities 75% Financial Accounting : -Act as primary point of contact for selected functional groups or business unit partners for which you are the primary accountant as -
Controllers as much Spanish as English communications. Ensure all internal controls are in place and monitored, financial processes are performed timely and accurately, and all accounting is done in accordance with Cargill Policies and GAAP.
Balance Sheet Account Reconcialition and Analysis policy.-Provide financial support to BU’s / Functions.-Support annual statutory auditing and tax function for any analysis reporting for assigned BU.
15% Business Partnering : -Effective and timely communication with BU / Function wherever necessary.-Provide accounting / finance support for BU / Function, as requested.
Meet all agreed KPI and complete services within the SLA.-Review financial accounting processes and key internal control point to monitor alignment with the standard5% Compliance & Process Efficiency : -
Review accounting processes and escalate deviations to Team Leader.-Maintain all documentation and update timely.-Initiate, suggest and demonstrate process improvement-
Any other duties as assigned
Requirements -Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or university in progress.-Proficient in Excel Preferred Qualifications -Knowledge of JD Edwards
