Position Title : Sr. Director / Director Total Rewards & Operations

Reports To : CHRO

Location : San Jose, California

Responsibilities

Provides leadership for a broad, comprehensive rewards organization, encompassing the global compensation, benefits, HRIS, Payroll and HR operations functions.

Creates and operationalizes a vision for the future . Develops an overarching rewards philosophy / architecture that establishes the framework & direction for programs, policies and decisions.

Determines priorities and drives decision-making.

  • Leads the design and delivery of programs and policies that respond to regional and / or global Company needs (e.g. : base salary, incentive and recognition programs, benefits and mobility programs) that align with the desired & future direction of the Company.
  • Identifies need for new programs or enhancements to existing programs. Programs must flex with the evolving nature of the Company.

  • Influences executive management and promotes understanding of the direction and philosophy of the broad reward function.
  • Drives a high-performance culture. Provide direct oversight for all incentive programs, including long & short term incentives, sales and special rewards programs.
  • Ensures that all programs are competitive, cost effective, and drive the desired business results.

  • Ensures that benefits programs are locally competitive, cost effective, and promote employee well-being.
  • Keeps abreast of legislation and best practices in all rewards areas (retirement plans, benefits, healthcare, equity plans & administration, FLSA, etc).
  • Ensures that all programs are compliant with applicable laws & regulations.

  • Oversees the establishment of key metrics and performance indicators to enable effective decision-making, program design, and organizational design.
  • Works with executive management across the organization to present and utilize metrics in policy decisions.

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional HR projects. Will play a key role in the overall architecture and delivery of HR services to support the growth and success of the organization.
  • Design the infrastructure and policies necessary to provide the most effective service.

  • Manage the HR Operations function.
  • Leads the design of complex long term incentive programs, including an assessment of appropriate vehicles to optimize shareholder interests and provide appropriate incentive / retentive value.
  • Work closely with Finance to understand Company performance and objectives and the impact on compensation programs.

    Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree, minimum 10+ year’s compensation & benefits experience.
  • CCP preferred
  • Demonstrated experience researching, designing, implementing and administering domestic and international compensation & benefits plans, programs and policies.
  • An effective leader, with a persuasive communication style based on strong functional expertise
  • Expert level understanding of compensation theory, HR service delivery and global consultant offerings.
  • Data and analysis driven approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Previous experience managing globally dispersed compensation, benefits, mobility & operations staff.
