Summary : Reporting to the Program Director, Sports Medicine Strategy and Transformation, the jobholder will be responsible for leading significant strategic initiatives for Global Operations.
The Project Manager’s focus areas will include the delivery of end-to-end projects across global operations with a specific focus on the Sports Medicine franchise.
Working closely with workstream leads from all functions (when needed) They will lead and motivate cross-functional teams, have a high level of stakeholder management skills, and have the ability to think strategically while managing the tactical details.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and presentation skills as well as have the ability to interface effectively with employees and consultants of all levels throughout the organization.
This position requires strong people skills, being part of a multi-discipline team with the ability to effectively manage projects impacting across every area of the business.
Responsibilities : Planning : Create clear and attainable project objectives for highly complex projects.Develop clear and detailed project plans with well-defined tasks.
Manage and track activities to plan and where required implement remediation steps.Excellent problem-solving skills and be able to think quickly and proactively about how to address problems as they come up.
Financial Management : Prepare and manage overall budget including capital and expense allocations to support approval of project / program.
Work closely with Finance functions to ensure budgets are clear, visible, and up to date.Forecast annual spend requirements on a regular basis, creating an annual budget scheduling expenditureAnalyze variances against budget initiating corrective actions as requiredCommunicate variances.
People Management : Working with HR, developing a strategy for staffing and managing the execution of the hiring process (where applicable).
To effectively manage’ and coordinate cross-functional project teams (where not via direct reporting lines), to ensure progress is made, as per relevant schedule(s).
Provide orientation and training, coaching and counseling of individuals onboarding to the program, mentoring enterprise-wide the PMO methodology and ensure consistency in the information reported.
Working with the Program Sponsor, manage the program stakeholders including the ability to influence upwards.Identify, escalate and lead the resolution of change management and cultural issues.
Quality Management : Project governance to ensure that key stakeholders understand the implications of any given project including change impact, cost, resource requirements, technical needs, etc.
Program assurance to provide confidence that the project is structured appropriately to deliver fully compliant financial, regulatory and legal systems.
Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications : Education : Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering, Science. Business, Computer Science, MIS, or Finance-related curriculumLicenses / Certifications : PMP (or other similar) accreditation is advantageous.
Proven Project Management experience essential.Preferred candidate will have 5 years+ experience in Medical Device or Healthcare (or experience in a regulated industry) leading multi-discipline projects or programs Willingness to develop skills / accreditations within the specific systems used in the S+N supply chain.
