Is responsible for processing company payroll, payroll tax, and timekeeping processes to ensure accurate payment of wages, tax withholding and company deductions.
Will be the subject matter expert on all payroll functions. Will be responsible for all quarterly and annual filing requirements, and overseeing the timekeeping functions.
Prepares statistical reports on employee pay, bonuses, vacation, sick, disability, taxes, withholding, etc. Oversees the distribution of paychecks and manages the direct deposit program.
Ensures employee records are updated and reports on matters of interest. Ensures proper governmental reporting and compliance.
In addition, assists in evaluating and identifying areas for improvement in the payroll process. Implements automation and actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll process.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee payroll, payroll tax, and timekeeping for Experian’s Costa Rica Operation. Process regular and supplemental bi-weekly payroll for all employees in Costa Rica.
Ensure payroll compliance with federal and local wage and labor laws, and internal financial procedures
Oversee payroll deductions process : review and follow up reports generated by third parties, health insurance, local banks, transportation provider, social security and other salary deductions.
Review and upload payroll money transfers in Experian bank accounts.
Using Oracle reports, gathers and audits payroll hours.
Communicate and resolve issues with employees such as vacation, sick leave, garnishments, tax question and all other payroll related items.
Provide support on pay slips access for employees as needed.
Generate, enhance and / or review payroll reports for internal compliance.
Lead the Oracle and overall payroll testing and automation process.
Assist the HR function with education, training sessions for employees in Costa Rica.
Work with the Account Payable Team in Malaysia for the monthly funding processes.
Comply with internal / external payroll audits and local legal regulation and requirements.
Ability to partner with stakeholders proving insight and information on payroll process.
Generate payroll procedures, manuals & guidelines for employees and managers.
Special assignments as requested by HR Manager
Assist with internal and external payroll and labor reporting requests and requirements.
Assist with internal and external payroll audits.
Staying educated on any new and pending wage / labor laws that could impact payroll and employment practices.
Auditing the company payroll system to ensure all applicable regulations and being followed accurately
