Success in the Role : What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for architecting platform specific solutions that will be utilized across the VMware enterprise.
They will need ensure incidents are effectively prioritized and responded to per defined service level agreements. Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, build rapport and persuade others are skills to have.
Additionally, improving customer experience and assisting managers, and other senior staff, with analysis of customer request tickets is a requirement for this role.
Within the first 30 days, get to know the team and develop an understanding of the technology we manage, scope of work, and responsibilities of each member.
Additionally, begin operating as a member of the team and completing assigned tasks.
Within the first 90 days, provide support for the systems we manage and work with others to architect a solution that updates the workflow of Workspace ONE
Within the first 180 days, develop and test the workflow solution by working with fellow team members and establish a plan for implementation for corporate use
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
The role requires you to architect a solution that manages network access to core devices, services, and resources across VMware.
You will become knowledgeable in Workspace ONE's use, architecture, and implementation in VMware to enable this innovative workflow.
Your knowledge of multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions and use of RADIUS authentication for managing network access will facilitate your success in this role.
Additionally, a solid understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts and principles and proficiency in UNIX / Linux and Windows will be beneficial.
Collaboration with global staff is required to brainstorm solutions and develop the best path for implementation of this workflow

The hiring manager for this role is the leader of the CET Identity and Access team. His background includes architecting and implementing enterprise-level security and risk management solutions.
For many years as a software engineer, he excelled in process improvement, systems development, and systems integration.
Currently, he leads this team of globally-placed staff to maintain the corporate instance of Workspace ONE Access.
The hiring manager encourages independent and innovative thinking to accomplish the team's set goals. He wants people that work well with a team and are self-motivated to complete assigned tasks.
The team is made up of technology professionals based in United States, Costa Rica, Bulgaria and India. We interact with coworkers and vendors all over the world to maintain our systems.
