What you will do

A Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for assisting the GEP implementation team and the customer with the design and deployment of the GEP SMART solution (Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Management, Projects and Savings Tracker and Procure to Pay).

As functional expert, a Sr. Business Analyst needs to have the ability to understand customer needs from the solution and accurately document them for coordinating the build, testing and deployment of GEP SMART and associated business processes.

Technical :

  • Deployment responsibilities include assisting customers throughout the various phases of implementation process.
  • Assist with all aspects of a deployment including (but not limited to) : process configuration, feature / functionality demos, user interface configuration, user and supplier set-up.
  • Assist in the coordination of RCAs & High Severity issues in close collaboration with PMG, Engg & CST with day-to-day monitoring & updates on Incident and Problem SLAs.
  • Help to facilitate Change enablement for major features with proactive Customer Trainings, Webinars, Workshops, Collateral, etc.
  • Collaborate on the execution of Change Requests (along with a team of Ops Analysts / Sr. Analysts and / or the CIT team)
  • Customer Focus :

  • Co-owns the responsibility of customer satisfaction with the project manager, during the successful deployment of solutions.
  • Provide solutions wherever feasible, from the perspective of GEP SMART
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and various groups within GEP such as Technical Support, Sales, Engineering, and Product Management.
  • Possess the ability to learn and to be conversant in features, functionality and applicability of the entire GEP SMART suite including Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Management as well as Procure to Pay.
  • Possess expert knowledge in at least one area of GEP SMART suite.
  • Build solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at GEP and externally at the client)
  • Teamwork :

  • Executes with minimal guidance and shows strong initiative.
  • Maintains regular communication with team members (e.g., face-to-face, via voicemails, emails) especially across multiple solution deployments so everyone understands status of project.
  • Proactively collaborates with manager and teammates to anticipate and respond to issues that could impact solution deployment (e.g., change in scope)
  • What you should bring

  • Education : Minimum bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Business, Industrial Engineering, Science, similar stream or a combination of high school education and relevant experience.
  • Experience : 2+ years of relevant experience in product implementation and / or continuous improvement projects.
  • Languages : fluent in Spanish and English >
  • Portuguese is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with various internal teams.
  • Ability to document action items and drive them to completion.
  • Willingness to drive work to completion irrespective of the odds.
  • Ability to comprehend business problems and presenting the needed solution to the clients.
  • Other Key Skills

  • Ability to accurately understand and document customer requirements.
  • Exposure to Procurement domains (especially Procure to Pay, SAP Ariba, Coupa)
  • Ability to learn to be fluent in features, functionality and applicability of the entire GEP SMART suite including Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Management as well as Procure to Pay
  • Exposure to customer management.
  • Be an effective influencer who can make persuasive arguments.
  • Ability to work on complex projects.
  • Adaptable to changes in technology.
  • Executes with minimal guidance and shows strong initiative.
  • Preferable knowledge / experience in PM, continuous improvement tools, Scrum and Lean methodologies.
  • Should be open for flexible work hours
