Duties and Responsibilities
Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following :
Collect, review, and analyze customer requirements and specifications. Work with Sales & Application Engineers to generate the best competitive technical solution while maximizing GE’s position.
On-time delivery of Solution proposals per the proposal deadline.
Generate cost and pricing sheets to report sell price, profit and costs to business leadership. Collaborate with the Sales team to determine appropriate pricing required to win.
Coordinate proposal activities with the appropriate personal including but not limited to Sales, Legal, Engineers, Product Management and external contacts such as electrical subcontractors, system integrators, instrument suppliers, electrical distributors and other vendors.
Attend customer meetings in support of the sales team to provide technical and commercial support related to application, industry and project implementation methodology.
Analyze commercial and technical details to prepare risk assessment and manage the deal approval process for each deal to ensure a strong business case and compliant process.
Be a change agent and support speed and agility
Promote innovation and drive continuous improvement and efficiency
Translate concepts, develop strategy, and implement change
Demonstrate customer focus and passion to win in a challenging environment
Provide motivational teamwork, fostering a team environment driven to deliver innovative, quality products
Degree and / or Training in electronic engineering, automation engineering and / or having proven technical experience
Have at least 2 years of experience in application engineering and / or internal sales (technical) and / or elaboration of proposals for industrial automation systems and projects
Ability to accurately interpret customer specifications and technical designs including the non-technical aspects of the requirements.
Advanced knowledge in the MS Office package, especially in Excel
Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask while coordinating multiple priorities
Ability to specify and elaborate industrial automation network architectures involving switches, firewalls and industrial radios
Availability for possible trips to attend meetings with clients to present solutions and discuss technical and commercial issues
Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time; work alone or as part of a team.
Ability to work, and be effective, as part of a cross-functional team.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Positive can-do attitude and technically creative thought process
Languages : English and Spanish
Knowledge of Emerson's product portfolio, such as : PACSystems RX3i, VersaMax, QuickPanel +, RSTi-EP, Machine Edition and etc.
Able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization
Experience with sizing and designing automation and control panel projects
Knowledge of the SalesForce.com platform
Schedule : Monday through Friday
Remote Office from 1 to 3 days per week (hybrid rotation model)
