Experian is looking for an Application Support Engineer with sharp analytical skills in supporting and maintaining Billing, Revenue Management, and Financial applications used by Experian in North America and other regions.

The ideal candidate will be able to work proactively with minimal supervision, and had previous experience as a developer and / or domain knowledge in finance applications.
Accountable for the support of Billing, Revenue Management, and Financials applications used by Experian. To ensure system availability by proactive system support and speedy resolution of application errors.
Assist users to understand the capabilities and requirements of the application. Provide knowledge of the application in support of projects, enhancements, and integrations.
Identify and resolve issues related to application, database and integrations
Management of customer expectations by taking responsibility for the progression of team requests and incidents, driving to resolution and customer satisfaction within the internal SLA targets
Ensure application availability through proactive support and speedy resolution of issues
Support integrated applications with an understanding of system integration, test planning, scripting, and troubleshooting
Assess the health and performance of the application and database. Intervene to drive improvements and / or optimization as needed
Identify potential improvement areas and recommend solutions
Establish, participate, and maintain relationships with business units, customers, and IT subject matter experts in order to remain apprised of direction, project status, architectural and technology issues, risks, and function / integration issues.
BS or equivalent experience in a technical discipline (programming, analysis, or other strong technical area)
5 years of experience in similar roles
Self-starter able to work proactively and with minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills (e.g. work with end users and tech leads)
Experience with SQL, with fluency to read and write SQL queries
Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills (Spanish & English), with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical individuals.
Programming experience in Java, or Oracle PL / SQL stored procedures
Experience with Cobol, JCL, Mainframe
Software development lifecycle
Experience with Financial / Billing / enterprise systems
All-round IT applications knowledge e.g. implementing packaged applications, systems integration, software development cycle.
The ideal candidate would have held roles within an IT department / consultancy providing services to business areas / clients e.
g. any of the following : consultant, project manager, business analyst, designer, solution architect.
Experience interacting with third party IT vendor resources, preferably in an on-shore / off-shore model
