As a GAMA Specialist you will be based in San José, Costa Rica. You will be working at Roche Services Americas, which is one of the Roche Shared Services Centers worldwide providing Finance, Procurement services to various countries in the Americas region.
In this role you will be reporting to GAMA Manager.
Execute GAMA operational activities for the Americas SSC in Costa Rica
Your main task will include :
Deliver newcomer - system and process - training as ordered by the Team Lead / Operations Manager
Support the on-boarding process : access and equipment management, job shadowing
Prepare statistics and reports as requested by the Team Lead / Operations Manager
Participate to knowledge transfers and user acceptance test sessions
Administrative maintenance of overtime documentation
Maintain annex documentation and newcomer training materials
Contribute to cross departmental operational initiatives
As GA and MA accountant :
Execute the day-to-day activities according to the agreed service level and in compliance with the SOPs of the respective business sub-process
Follow the instructions of the Team Lead regarding the daily work coordinationAs the ideal candidate for this role, you have a degree in University or College Education, concentration on Finance or AccountingAccounting IAS Certification (CPA, ACCA etc.)

Coordinate and perform complete, stringent and timely financial tasks including but not limited to : AR manual invoicingFixed asset accounting activitiesTax posting and reportingGL journal postingB / S Account reconciliationFX revaluationCost and revenue allocation in COProduction closing in MMCAPEX settlementReporting for consolidation FI / CO / consolidation system reconciliationHandling incoming calls & emailsReporting
Your further qualifications are (must have and desirable) :
A solid understanding of cost accounting processes in SAP.
Strong ability to prioritize and organize work effectively, adhere to tight and established deadlines
Demonstrated communication skills with a focus on customer service
Knowledge of Finance Shared Services and operational accounting processes and related technology systems (eg. SAP, BlackLine, etc.) is desired.
Advanced Excel Macro Programming skills.
Strong presentation and analytical skills.
Ability to perform work with limited direction and guidance.
Ability to prioritize effectively and multitask, meet all deadlines and manage up.
Works well with others and follow through to execute all tasks.
Language : English & Spanish required, Portuguese and / or French preferred.
