The Sr. Cloud Infrastructure & Security CDA is a new growth role within the Professional Services umbrella, and is principally oriented around a qualify-deliver-manage model.
The individual is responsible for partnering with a Professional Services leaders to dive deep into a customer’s business challenge, to collaboratively propose and pre-qualify a particular set of outcomes that would result from a formal data and analytics Professional Services engagement.
Thereafter, the individual remains meaningfully engaged with that customer, Amazon team and project / program to ensure high-value, predictable, and successful delivery.
This is not a pure consultant role, nor is it a pure selling role. It is an individual with a unique data and analytics expertise, hands-on building, coupled with cross-industry business acumen, including a heavy dose of passion for continued knowledge acquisition and growth, obsession for customers, and their success using AWS that will align well with the desired outcomes to be produced.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key member of the Account and Professional Services Go-To-Market teams, ensure success in designing, building, optimizing, transforming or migrating, data and analytics solutions to AWS platform
Drive the architecture and building of highly scalable, cloud-native applications on the AWS platform using core developer services like API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB and ECS
Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS
Participate in deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class data and analytics solutions built on AWS while ensuring such solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud and drive business outcomes
Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and proof of concepts
In partnership with the ProServe leadership and account team, formulate and execute a strategy to accelerate customer outcomes through the adoption of AWS in conjunction with Professional Services engagements
Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
Capture and share best-practice knowledge, sales and delivery content amongst the AWS Professional Services community
This is a customer facing role. You be required to travel to client locations to deliver professional services when needed.
7+ or more years of IT implementation experience
BS level technical degree or 5 years of relevant professional experience.
3+ years hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.
Hands on work experience performing infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell, Cloudformation, Terraform).
3+ years experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile / iterative methodologies require
1+ years experience with integration of cloud services with on-premise technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.
1+ years experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish, in technical and business settings (verbal and written).
Computer Science or Math background preferred; MS degree desired.
Customer facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Technical thought leadership experience in one or more technology areas such as IT security, application development, infrastructure architecture, big data analytics, or IT operations.
Hands on experience leading large-scale global IT transformation projects, including deep understanding of ITIL, TOGAF and other common IT frameworks.
Demonstrated industry leadership in the areas such as IT service management, cloud computing, or IT Strategy.
Track record of implementing Cloud services in a variety of distributed computing, enterprise environments.
Use of Cloud services in distributed environments with Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.
Visible IT Industry thought leadership on relevant topics related to the enterprise cloud-based IT operating model
Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. shell, Python, Ruby, Powershell).
Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
