Our Facilities Engineers support projects, factory task forces, cross-site and cross-discipline teams, and incident resolutions.

Our engineers act as Intel's System Owners for sustaining and improving existing systems. They are accountable for safety, system operations, maintenance procedures, reliability and cost.

Electrical Engineers review and approve all electrical designs and review electrical design specifications, submittals, studies and drawings.

They deliver operational efficiency, maintenance, testing and commissioning solutions for the electrical power system focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for strategic and tactical plans and engineering designs for all facility designs.
  • Responsible for assisting in the management and prioritization of an annual Facilities functional budget and capital budgets for facility improvements in concert with related planning, business case development, and engineering design.
  • Responsible for development and compliance of engineering standards including documentation, product, lifecycle plans, and design packages.
  • Act as Intel's System Owner of the site's electrical distribution system. Model the electrical power distribution system and track changes;
  • Troubleshooting electrical system problems; conducting breaker coordination and arc flash studies; track electrical load and capacity;
  • Deliver operational efficiency, maintenance, testing, and commissioning solutions; identify, qualify, and implement system upgrades;
  • provide technical leadership to 3rd party support; respond to power outages and disturbances and lead the recovery effort;
  • participate in cross site teams.

  • Project engineering responsibilities : Review and approve all electrical designs supporting the facilityEffective collaboration with Project Managers and Project Engineers, architects, engineers and contractors on new construction / renovation projectsReviewing electrical design specifications, submittals, studies and drawingsPossessing thorough knowledge of low & medium voltage electrical distribution systems including transformers, low voltage substations, generators, and UPS systemsAbility to review and challenge cost estimates, budgets and ROI analysis;
  • ability to work on multiple projects and issues concurrentlyPossess a good knowledge of the latest NEC codes with ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.

    Leading and working in a project team environment is essential.

    Qualifications

    You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • The candidate must have a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of experience in : Maintenance, design, and / or operation of electrical switchgear, transformers, VFD's, diesel generators, static / rotary UPS, and low voltage distribution equipment.
  • Low and medium voltage electrical power system (35kV and above) maintenance, design, and / or operation. This includes electrical modeling, reviewing equipment drawings and submittals, troubleshooting electrical equipment issues, implementing protective device coordination studies, and load flow analysis.

  • Experience utilizing troubleshooting techniques and interpreting P&IDs
  • Advanced English Level.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Easy Power (or SKM) software is preferred.
  • Have excellent computer skills, strong data analysis and statistical process analysis capabilities
  • Soft Skills / Behavioral Traits :

  • Ability to communicate strategic and tactical concepts across a wide range of employees including engineering peers, operational technicians, and management.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrate application of structured problem-solving methods and tools.
