Job Description

NI is seeking a Configuration Modeler to join the eCommerce organization. The Configuration Modeler is responsible for managing configuration models, understanding system constraints, and data structures delivered on ni.

com. The Configuration Modeler works closely with the eCommerce, Product Planning, Systems R&D, FIS / Manufacturing, and IT in order to define common product interaction models and implement a system for integrating these models into our internal and external configurators and processes.

The candidate will possess strong competencies in Continuous Improvement, Customer Obsession, Teamwork, Driving for Results, and Time Management to deliver results

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Setup model configurations for new products and or modify existing model configurations from both internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with Product Planning and understand technical data specifications to define product model dependencies and compatibility rule logic
  • Understand scope of work and document changes or actions taken to complete tasks
  • Prepare test validations and perform functional acceptance testing of product configuration or model changes within testing environments
  • Troubleshoot, problem solve, document, and provide technical feedback for issue resolution
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support web releases for model changes and validate success of releases.
  • Understand NI Product offerings to propose product model improvements to product planning.
  • Maintain quality and integrity of data models and rule structures
  • Create and maintain training documentation for current models, rules, and configurations as well as troubleshooting steps
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or another technically related field strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members and stakeholders
  • Basic / Medium understanding of logical data flow and data structures
  • Basic / Medium understanding of Pseudocode / programming terminology
  • Ability to learn NI Products, System Platforms, and Application areas
  • Ability to learn and adapt within a SCRUM / Agile methodology
  • Basic understanding of SQL data queries a plus
  • Self-Starter, high-level of ownership, proactive nature, problem-solving skills
  • Strong technical skills, comfortable working with business and technical teams
  • Strong personal organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Teamwork skills essential
  • Excellent English communication skills - verbal and written
  • Flexibility to accommodate intermittent high volume of requests
