The Adobe Strategic Partnerships team is focused on delivering material growth and market share expansion into new markets through strategic partnerships with responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and implementing partnership deals and initiatives across Adobe’s Creative Cloud and Document Cloud business units.
As a Business Development manager, you will join a team of strategy & growth authorities who work closely with business unit team members and executive leadership to implement partner deals aligned with Adobe's critical initiatives.
This role will focus on delivering key results related to the Creative Cloud business through partnerships with players driving the Creator Economy, eCommerce and web platforms, and K-12 Education tool providers.
Responsibilities will include exploring, validating, and implementing new business initiatives through partner engagements with high levels of independence.
What You'll Do
Become deeply knowledgeable about the Adobe Digital Media business, including business model, customer segmentation, customer workflows, product offerings, competitors, marketing and GTM.
Become a highly effective business development and strategy resource to the applicable Adobe business unit who builds strategic partnership frameworks that achieve key business objectives.
Identify, scope out, and drive engagements with strategic partners that have potential to meet Digital Media Strategic Initiatives.
Drive consensus and approval from business unit collaborators and executive leadership to formally engage in deal negotiation with applicable strategic partners, including business terms for such deals.
Negotiate complex business agreements with third parties from inception to final contract signature.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
12+ years of proven experience in roles such as business development, market development, strategy consulting with Fortune 500 companies.
Take initiative with high degree of independence to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, build partnership strategy, assess market opportunity / competitive landscape, and develop financial / business models.
Experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or technology licensing; prior understanding of digital media, collaboration, or creative design software highly desired.
Ability to build high trust relationships, build a network of peers to gain market intelligence, and negotiate complex legal agreements with large, strategic partners.
Highly effective communicator with proven track record of driving consensus both internally and with external partners;
proficiency leading discussions about complex business decisions with executive leadership.
Be a big picture, creative, strategic problem solver who is incessantly seeking opportunities to materially impact the business.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud services and product lines.
Knowledgeable with contractual details applicable for cross licensing of software intellectual property.
Understanding of Information Technology (IT) business and technical requirements with SaaS and client software with enterprise, SMB and education markets.
