What You’ll Do :
Analyze user requirements to derive secure software design and performance requirements
Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases / data repositories
Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
Act as a mentor by delegating programming and testing responsibilities to one or more team members and monitor their performance
Confer with System, Hardware Engineers to derive secure software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations / capabilities and performance requirements / interfaces
Assist in the support of systems and tools supported by Secure Software Engineering & Application Security
Update Documentation, Knowledge Base, FAQs, and Process, as required by Secure Software Engineering & Secure SDLC
Perform false positive challenge verification, and provide guidance to teams requesting suppression of their findings
Review static analysis results and provide secure practices guidance to development teams related to software security defects and assisting them with remediation
Review and provide guidance for application security escalations.
Perform other secure software engineering tasks as required
3+ years of Experience in two or more of the following languages (Perl, Python, C, C++, C++ CLI, C#, Objective C, Ruby, assembly, Java, Cobol)
Experience with Web Applications, Web Services, and Service Oriented Architectures.
Strong understanding of SAST, DAST, RASP, and their use in development pipelines.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Experience with the identification and remediation of software security defects.
Extra Points for any of the Following :
Relevant certifications (CSSLP, GSSP-.NET, GSSP-JAVA, GWEB, GREM, CEH, etc.)
Experience with common web frameworks.
Experience with at least one Static Analysis tools (e.g. Fortify, Veracode, Checkmarx)
Experience with the OWASP project, the OWASP Top 10 or SANS 25.
Experience with Web & Application Servers (Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, IIS)
Thorough understanding of Unix and Windows operating systems
