US Government Business Intelligence Specialist
The US Government Business Intelligence Specialist is a fundamental role for the Organization to responsible to create, maintain and enhance the Data Base required to have the information and data needed for reporting of performance.
Also, this role is responsible to drive analysis and insights for decision making by conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive continues improvement in operational performance and customer experience for the US Gov Accounts.
This role will work with external and internal business partners to capture business requirements and help develop solutions to support the business.
This individual will apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues and recommend appropriate alternatives.
The daily work will consist of solving problems that are of diverse complexity and scope, while exercising independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices.
This role will require handling unique or unclear requirements and seek advice from team members and leaders to make decisions on complex business issues.
This role frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods and determines best methods and practices for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.
It is expected that this individual will bring new ideas and approaches to the team and help drive design and process innovation.
The US Government Business Intelligence Specialist will be part of the North America Customer Support Organization and will support the Commercial Direct Onsite Delivery across its multiple businesses.
The candidate must have experience database, data warehouse applications - Oracle / SQL Server databases
Data architect with BI implementation skills : requirements / process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, relational conceptual, logical and physical and dimensional modelling, implementation of cube data warehouse, testing, training, and support.
ETL Design, Scheduling, Deployment, and data loading using SSIS. DAX and MDX querying background.
Understands business requirements and translates into technical solutions. Applies technical knowledge of technology and industry trends to develop, implement and maintain complex data solutions.
Leads the resolution of complex data problems for large / complex projects.
Review, and validate data requirements, including : Data integration (ETL, EAI, web services), Meta data, Modelling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical), Data delivery, and Business intelligence.
Participate in research and method selection for solutions, being actively involved in design meetings with stakeholders.
Designs and builds the data architecture and data integration layers.
Be a key partner for the CS NA Field and Channel Delivery Operations by providing quantitative and qualitative insights to influence, drive consensus and shape decisions.
Uncover areas for improvement in Ops and CX with meaningful, precise and actionable analysis.
Build insights by examining process flows, analyzing large amount of information and conducting investigations.
Apply RCA methodologies and statistical analysis to deliver insights.
Become a strategic partner with the SBO Organization to develop KPIs, obtain high-quality data and reporting of performance.
Respond to ad hoc analysis and reporting requests for data and analytics needed by senior management.
Knowledge and Skills
Expert knowledge and experience with data modelling, data warehousing, dimensional modelling, big data solutions and ETL development
Solid track record of transforming concepts and requirements into workable products and solutions is a must.
Expert knowledge of software development life cycles with its principles, practices, strategies, and tactics.
Data literacy : Finding and managing data, cleansing data, appropriately address extremes, outliers, etc., manipulating data.
Mathematical reasoning : Competent in the interpretation of numeric data, understand and / or practice statistical principles.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills for writing reports / proposals and making presentations, in particular the ability to communicate technical results clearly and effectively to a non-technical business audience.
Ability to work independently under a fast-paced environment, comfortable to deliver results under pressure.
Proven working experience as an Operational analyst
Proficient in MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Access and MS Outlook
Advance experience in data analytics / sciences software applications, such as Power BI, Tableau or related tools.
Hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
Advance analytical skills and hands on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages
Strong work ethics and collaborative attitude.
Self / starter Innovative thinker with analytical / problem solving skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Data Base Management / Systems Engineering, Business Intelligence or related Engineering. Specialization, Masters or Phd level degree is desirable.
Additional formal studies will be a plus.
SSIS (SQL Integration Services) / SQL / PL SQL language, MS SQL Server, Windows Server and Unix / Linux Operating Systems, Programming Languages (Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related work experience).
Experience working on Service Operations with a high customer orientation is strongly preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate design proposals and architectures and negotiate options at senior leadership levels.
Experience in Customer Support Operations will be considered as a plus
