Job Details and ResponsibilitiesOrganization & RoleThe Quality Engineering (QE) Team is responsible for assessing Quality at all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle so that Teradyne maintains its Quality leadership in the Automatic Test Equipment industry.
A SW engineer in QE team uses Teradyne SW - IGXL (MS Excel / Visual Basic based) or MST (C++ / VisualStudio based) and works with in-house tools and cutting-edge digital and analog hardware.
ResponsibilitiesThis individual is responsible for : Reviewing system, hardware, and software requirements documentation such as : SRS, SysRS, UISPlanning, designing, creating, executing, and automating tests focused on proving our products work as planned Enhancing in-house tools to make test creation more efficient and effective.
Managing the defects in the defect tracking database in the reporting, duplication and resolution of issues found during product verification.
In addition, this engineer : Interacts with software and hardware engineering teams, and works closely with Software Development Engineering.
Provides expertise to the applications team and learns from them in order to reduce defect escapes.Basic Qualifications & SkillsBSEE / BSCS / BS Computer Engineering / BS Software Engineering or equivalentFamiliarity with Agile and Waterfall Software Development Life CyclesProgramming with C / C++, C# (or equivalent) and VBA / ExcelStrong commitment to product qualityEffective written and verbal communications skills in EnglishAble to work in an international, multi-site, dynamic, team-oriented environmentYears of experience : minimum 2-4Also a plus : Experience using MS Visual Studio / CodedUIUnderstanding of embedded systems, digital, power, and / or analog hardwareCurrent openings may involve access to export controlled technology and may be subject to export licensing requirements prior to employment.
