ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a multi-function engineering team to deliver new DC / Power ATE Instrument offerings for our ETS platform, on schedule, on budget, and with required capability
Functions required to interface with : Hardware, Software, Hardware and Software QA, Mechanical, Signal Delivery, Thermal, DFM / DFT, NPI / Operations, Program Management, Systems Engineering, Product Marketing, Logic Design, ASIC Design, SLM, System Engineering, PCB layout
Work with development teams to establish plans that enable the project to meet its overall objectives
Resolve conflicts that involve technical details of the project
Manage the triple constraint of Budget / Schedule / Features
Be the Technical face of the project. That means being willing / capable of answering these types of questions ALL the time.

Drive and facilitate a high level of integration amongst the development teams
Identify technical risk, as well as mitigations and contingency plans
Communicate project progress / status to the overall project team, and to senior management
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required
10-15 years experience working in a HW development role
BSEE or equivalent. MSEE is a plus
Experience Managing directs a plus but not required
Driving Technical Aspects of Development Projects is the real requirement
10 years experience driving HW development projects
Experience interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines
Ability to synthesize scattered details into clear meaningful messages
Ability to lead teams through change
Ability to deal with and resolve conflict
Track record of driving HW development projects from concept to completion
Willingness to communicate import project developments timely (positive and negative)
Exercise good judgment on when a development task is really done, when it needs more work, and when more work is unnecessary
Ability to work at different levels of abstraction within single day. For example you might have to brief senior management on what is going on with a particular problem and what is means to the overall schedule and budget, and then go to a meeting where you review the technical details of the team doing the work and drive next steps
