The upcoming Four Seasons Tamarindo Resort in Jalisco, Mexico rests on 2,100 acres in the southern part of Tenacatita Bay.

The resort sprawls across an enchanting natural preserve and is embellished by the emerald colored pacific coast. With 158 rooms and 32 residential units, Four Seasons Tamarindo is proudly committed to ecological preservation and environmental responsibility.

Be You :

The Director of IT will demonstrate the following key characteristics :

  • Master Your Craft :

    The Director of IT is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all computer systems, data and voice communications activities at property.

    Supports Area Director in forecasting technology requirements and upgrades to existing technology to improve effectiveness of installed systems.

    Executes hotel and corporate systems strategies.

    Desired Skills and Experience :

  • Minimum of Three (3) years of experience in a related position with Four Seasons or other similar company.
  • University degree with a Major in IT or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of network and wireless technologies
  • Experience in Project Management, hospitality applications, PMS, HSIA, POS, is preferred.
  • Desirable Microsoft, Ruckus, or HP Certifications, strong network-building and trouble-shooting skills, including Microsoft Operating Systems, Mac Operating Systems and applications
  • Strong business, resources and project planning experience
  • Good knowledge of the Four Seasons It Core Standards, policies and procedures
  • The ability to recommend new applications as requested by hotels to streamline business processes and improve workflow.
  • Able to negotiate and execute computer and data communications contracts to ensure compliance with their requirements.
  • Implement technology best practices from other Four Seasons properties that are workable.
  • Establish product lifecycle management for hardware / software and 10-year capital planning for technology.
  • Expertise in preparing IT operating budgets, IT capital budgets, and able to discuss and present a business case for all IT expenses.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required. Excellent bi-lingual written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meetings
  • Must be able to provide high levels of service and support to administrative users.
  • Manage and support one or more subordinates in their day to day functions and career growth.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote teamwork.
  • This may include some evenings, weekends and holidays. Some travel may be required.

  • This position requires an enthusiastic, passionate, dynamic and self-motivated individual who is able to deliver ever improving results, achieving goals and objectives even when facing resistance, obstacles or difficulties.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to live in a remote location.
  • Pre-opening experience is a plus!
