Key Responsibilities :

  • Finance Business Partner to the organization by providing financial support and budget guidance.
  • Challenges the status quo while seeking to optimize spending and maximize investments.
  • Support the process of developingannual budgets, financial reporting, costing, forecast, and strategic plans.
  • Completes designated account reconciliations and corresponding journal entry adjustments or accruals.
  • Coordinate and drive financial closing and financial statements preparation process for SSC Americas’ legal entity
  • Assists with financial analysis and formulation of recommendations to achieve plan objectives.
  • Support execution of the overall financial strategy for the site in line with business strategy and global requirements.
  • Monitors financial reporting for compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Qualifications

  • Working in a matrix and multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to apply company policies and procedures.
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and multitask, meet all deadlines and manage up.
  • Proactive and solution oriented.
  • Languages : English and Spanish required.
  • SAP knowledge or other ERP accounting systems and MS Office tools.
  • CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
  • Collaborates with management to develop schedules, procedures, and systems to enable the timely and information accumulation, adjustment, and reporting of financial data.
  • Free trade zone regime compliance with special focus on fixed assets accounting and control, as well as, corresponding government (PROCOMER) reports.
  • Key contact for audit preparation and representation before fiscal authorities
  • Prepare tax declarations and reporting to fulfill statutory requirements.
  • Ensure all work documentation and work processes are updated and meet with Internal Control Financial Reporting (ICFR), group policies and guidelines, local statutory and legal requirements.
  • Formal back up to the Site Controller.
  • Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field.
  • 2-3 years of progressive Finance, Accounting, or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principals and practices GAAP or IAS and auditing.
  • Solid experience with Costa Rica free trade zone regime regulations and accountabilities.
