Position Summary

We are looking for a senior technical lead with in-depth experience in building large-scale distributed systems, especially analytics and monitoring software.

You will be part of a geographically distributed Data Engineering team responsible for the design and development of highly scalable analytics solutions on our platform.

In this position, you will collaborate with architects of different software components, UX designers, business stakeholders and application developers to lead the design and development of various analytics features, API definition, implementation, operational management and debugging.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead the design and development of analytics and monitoring software for the platform
  • Understand PLM requirements in analytics and monitoring areas and propose solutions both on the Frontend UI visualizations and Backend data collection, processing, storage, and retrieval
  • Vet various open-source and close-source technologies, libraries, tools etc. and help build a highly available, scalable and easily manageable monitoring system, specifically in the areas of large-scale SQL & NoSQL databases
  • Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to fine-tune the monitoring tools (open-source and developed in-house) to ensure scalability and high availability of the monitoring infrastructure
  • Work with geographically distributed teams
  • Requirements :

  • BS / MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 12+ years of software development experience
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Golang (desirable), C++, Python
  • Expertise in L2 to L7 networking protocols including but not limited to Ethernet, TCP / IP, VLAN, BGP, HTTP
  • Solid experience in designing and implementing solutions for complex large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience in building analytics and monitoring software using large amounts of data
  • Hands on experience with monitoring tools and databases such as Prometheus / Cortex, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Clickhouse, BigQuery, etc.,
  • Knowledge of Virtualization technologies like KVM, Docker etc.,
  • Understanding of Cloud orchestration systems such as Openstack, Kubernetes etc.,
  • Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute etc.) is a plus
  • Should be self-motivated and willing to delve into new areas and take new challenges in a proactive manner
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, team building, and mentoring skills
