Job Purpose and Impact As a Visual Assets and Archives Coordinator, you will be managing a digital asset management system that serves the diverse needs of a global corporation and helps tell our brand story.

By creating standard workflows and processes for ingesting and describing assets, you’ll make it easier for colleagues around the world to access assets.

  • This will include developing training procedures for description and self-help; managing digital assets from ingestion to metadata tagging to storage to dissemination;
  • working with visual communicators and photographers to ensure a high-quality, current collection; improving rights tracking to protect Cargill’s assets;
  • and helping archives maintain, update and take in assets. With 155 years of history in your charge, you’ll benefit from having a passion for learning the heritage of our company.

  • Develop strategy and implement workflows for asset submission, description, and retrieval
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure metadata completion and compliance
  • Uphold governance policies and procedures to ensure standardized asset categorization, establish consistent data definitions, and monitor overall quality of content
  • Ensure digital assets contain appropriate descriptive metadata, rights information, and credit information
  • Develop training to support a self-service asset management model
  • Provide access to system helpdesk and support
  • Partner with global communications, brand and archives
  • Transfer assets to archival systems when appropriate
  • Build relationships with communities of users and visual communicators
  • Builds relationships with Information Technology professionals for implementation and improvements of technology systems
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in history, information science, computer science, information technology or a related field
  • Knowledge of database workflow and design, content management and records systems
  • Familiarity with metadata standards and taxonomies
  • Understanding of archival principles
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Confidence in commonly used software, such as Excel, Word and PowerPointPreferred Qualifications
  • 2 4 years’ experience in a relevant field
  • Previous experience managing assets for a medium or large organization (more than 500 employees)
