The Finance Analyst works at the centre of the finance team and understands the key financial drivers in each of our business areas.
The Financial Analyst will facilitate in the production of insight to be used by the contact centre Leadership, to directly influence the direction of the business.
The Financial Analyst is technically minded, has a strong working understanding of Experian’s complex finance hierarchies and matrix reporting structure, whilst having the skill to articulate headline insight to non-finance functions across the business.
This role brings together the skills of being technically minded, intellectually curious, and commercially savvy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monthly / Quarterly / Half Yearly / Annual process
Ownership of the business unit FP&A cycle
Develop and own the business review process and reporting packs
Support the corporate annual budget process
Reporting, Insight & Commentary
Preparation of Key Performance Indicators reporting pack, where required
Build and maintain the TM1 Finance reporting suite
Build strong and effective relationships with each part of the Contact Centre, and know their numbers, services, channels, customers and respective cost allocation structures to enable insightful commentary
Support the production of Governance Board Reports
Finance and Business Systems
A Subject Matter Expert for TM1 Financials, HFM, Work Force Planning (if required) and providing guidance and support to users in the team.
Regular utilization of BI analytics tools to drive quick insight from Big Data
Skills and qualifications :
Finance background BA in Finance or Accounting is a must
MA or MBA in Finance or Business Management (or an equivalent credential of CPA / ACA / CIMA or ACCA) is advantageous
Strong Finance and Business systems acumen :
Full MS Office suite skills compulsory.
Enhanced Excel skills for pivots, macros,
Familiar with basic SQL, VBA and visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI desired.
Prior experience of TM1 is strongly desired.
4-year work experience in a Finance Analyst FP&A position
Experience in financial forecasting and analysis, reporting packs, annual budget process and preparation of Key Performance Indicators reporting pack.
Strong ability to work in system details as well as summarize and explain large amounts of information including variances to budget and forecast
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization
Strong English fluency
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and solve problems in a team environment
Experience in a Contact Centre environment is preferred but not mandatory
Experience in a large organization, preferably global, would be advantageous
Experience in a high transaction, data driven organization is advantageous
Experience in a consumer or business credit reporting agency is an advantage
Gravitas and credibility, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills
