About the role :
The Ergonomics Consulting Technician / Specialist will work out of the San Jose office and travel to various client sites in and around the Bay Area.
You will work with existing clients on their health, safety, and ergonomics.
Consulting Technician / Specialist Responsibilities :
Contributing to the design, development, implementation, and delivery of a wide variety of EHS solutions as a technical contributor
Planning for, organizing and prioritizing own work in coordination with others on a project or at a client site
Conducting onsite and virtual ergonomic evaluations in office, lab, industrial, health care environments
Creating and sustaining positive client relationships and customer care to ensure a consistently high level of satisfaction
Provide employee education, coaching, and training in safe work practices to prevent injury and illness
Ergonomic software management and data analysis
Support development and growth of large ergonomics programs
Develop and implement improvements for a variety of job tasks and processes
Developing and delivering training and technical reports
Education / Qualifications :
1-3 years of experience in ergonomics including general environmental, health and safety, and are interested in the dynamic world of consulting
Master’s degree preferred in Ergonomics (Human Factors / Ergonomics, Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, or related field).
Experience with RULA, REBA, 3DSSPP, Snook Tables, NIOSH Lifting Equation, Santos, HumanCAD
AEP / CPE Eligible Preferred
Working knowledge of global ergonomic regulations / standards and software management tools is a plus
Conducting ergonomic evaluations in multiple industries and disciplines
Previous consulting experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively, gather and organize data from multiple sources and independently plan and implement projects
May be required to work with or in an environment that contains chemicals or hazardous materials
Basic computer skills, with experience in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
