About the position :
F5 (Volterra) is looking for a hands-on leader for Compliance / SecOps / Monitoring team on F5’s Edge 2.0 platform responsible for compliance, access management, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, secrets management, SSO integrations, monitoring, auditing, etc.
This platform provides global, scalable, and secure way to deploy applications. In this position, you will be the lead involved in various areas of Compliance, Security Operations, and Monitoring and will be the point-of-contact for the entire platform’s compliance / SecOps / Monitoring needs in your domain.
Lead a team of security engineers while being a hands-on operations person
Build and grow the team as business priorities decide
Collaborate with software architects, security defenders, Operations, SRE, compliance specialists, and business leaders to understand the logical boundaries of the systems and access control mechanisms, monitoring requirements, audit requirements, compliance obligations, alerts, etc.
You will participate in defining and executing the Incident Response Plan for the platform and be responsible for providing necessary information during the response and forensics
You will provide technical leadership on asset inventory, monitoring, alerting, authentication, vendor access management, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, etc.
You will provide compliance team necessary support to document processes and controls in place for the security of the platform
Demonstrate technical leadership in multiple domain areas, providing mentorship to other team members
Minimum qualifications :
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of security operations experience
Hands-on experience with compliance processes especially FedRAMP, PCI, and SOC2
Experience with access management on AWS, Google, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, GitHub, GitLab, etc.
Experience with logging, monitoring, SIEM, dashboarding tools like AWS GuardDuty, Sumo, Grafana, SolarWinds, DataDog, Splunk, etc.
Experience with right-sizing the permissions for users and applications.
Hands on experience with computer programming languages and / or scripting languages such as Python, Java, Shell
Experience with vulnerability management systems like Snyk, Whitesource, Trivy, Dependency-check, Nancy etc.
Deep understanding of authentication systems, MFA, DNS, Certificate management, secret management, secure communication, etc.
Good understanding of complexities and security challenges in large-scale distributed systems
Working knowledge of Cloud orchestration systems such as Kubernetes, Openstack etc.
Self-motivated and willing to delve into new areas and take on new challenges in an enthusiastic manner

Strong interpersonal, team building, and mentoring skills
