PURPOSE OF POSITION :

World Vision International has an exciting opportunity for the right individual to play a pivotal role in developing our growing Workday environment which ultimately helps us deliver on our promise to the world’s most vulnerable children.

The role will lead a team whilst also themselves contributing to and supporting the execution and configuration of the Workday HCM in their area of expertise.

This will include but not be limited to solution design, testing and deployment. The role will ensure that the functionality of the Workday system is deployed and utilised throughout the World Vision Partnership, working on specific project plans and deliverables with others on the team to produce results that are part of the global project plan.

The job holder needs to be the partnership expert in understanding the system capability and be able to share this knowledge with non-technical colleagues to achieve maximum value of the system.

The Workday Technical Analyst Lead will report to the Workday Implementation Lead as part of the wider Workday Implementation Project Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Team Management and Project tracking, working with project colleagues on resource allocation and prioritization for the Technical Analysts Team

Continually strive to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the Workday system and environment

Collaborate with the Workday Business Analysts to analyse and solution Workday requirements, working to understand country and regional regulations where needed

Plan, design and configure new Workday functionality and enhancements in area of expertise, including business process configuration and condition rules.

Manage migrations between environments using the object transporter tool

Write reports and create dashboards in area of expertise.

Resolve service requests, issues and defects and escalated cases in relation to Workday

Involvement testing activities as required

Involvement in the preparation and upload of data via EIB’s as necessary

Support change management activities by inputting in to user procedures, guidelines, documentation and training materials produced by other internal resources

Facilitate the smooth creation / updates of integration work completed by other internal resources through awareness of how changes and developments will impact these

Work with internal resources through Workday release functionality and review to determine what option functionality will be turned on each Workday release.

KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE :

Required Professional Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in Workday HCM core configuration work

Minimum 2 years leading a team

Experienced in multiple Workday modules

Undergraduate or Bachelor Degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Technology or similar.

Good written and spoken English.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience :

Other languages are a bonus, particularly Spanish, French or Portuguese.

World Vision Experience (past or present).

Demonstrated ability to think independently, analytically, problem solve, deliver solutions and results by recommending best practices.

Ability to prioritise workload and provide timeline follow-up and resolution to manage multiple high-priority assignments while meeting deadlines and quality standards

Strong business acumen within a technical environment

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

High curiosity and desire to learn, highly motivated

Proficient computer skills with current technology, i.e. MS Office and other productivity or project management tools, and can be a quick learner to larger enterprise systems

Able to work in a team, collaborate effectively and build relationships

Proficient and demonstrated understanding of P&C (HR) and P&C business systems & processes and a solid understanding of the dynamics of how P&C functions within a global context

Ability to offer input on issues and challenge the status quo / conventional wisdom

Work Environment / Travel :

To keep costs to a minimum most of this project will be handled virtually however there may be a possibility of international travel up to 10% of the time.
