Business Summary :

Our Operations Lead / Manager will primarily be responsible for aggregating, prioritizing, and working with key business leaders and partners to deliver operational needs in a projectized model to support VMware’s growing business and optimized systems / processes.
This key business role is charted to aggregate Business Transformation and Automation (BTA) operations across geos : Budgets, Reports & Dashboards, Operational Calendar of Events, Plan of Records, Project Management & Change Management.
This individual is expected to have strong expertise in managing and executing business operation activities. This individual must also possess strong communication & presentation skills using industry best tools and technologies to interact with key BTA leaders and stakeholders.
Job Role and Responsibility :
Budget Management : Manage budget related activities of the BTA group right from planning, forecasting and actuals on quarterly basis.
Monitor the health of the budget and alert on over or under spend situations proactively with possible mitigation plans.
Conduct periodic reviews of budget status with leadership and finance groups.
Plan of Records and Allocations : Manage plan of records of all engagements, projects, initiatives in a centralized repository / portal and allocations of resources associated with it.
Analyze and highlight staffing gaps and capacity across projects / functions / geos.
Operational Calendar of events : Manage calendar of events encompassing various operational activities related to Budgets, Rewards & Recognition, All-Hands / Town-Hall meeting cadences, Leadership review meetings, Score-card metrics, Newsletter and Social collaborative spaces like Microsoft Teams, Social page, etc.
Reports and Dashboards : Generate relevant reports periodically and manage operational dashboard providing holistic view of status, risks, and action items.
In addition, bring out insights and specific actions from the statistical information reports.
Communication and Presentation : Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with leadership team and partners to drive operational agenda.
Articulation skills of presenting data / insights in an impressive slides / dashboard using tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Tableau.
Project and Change Management : Drive operational activities through the lifecycle using project management and change management constructs by bringing in Industry standard best practices.
7+ years of relevant work experience in large corporate global organization
5+ years of experience in a complex, global business operations group managing operational activities in projectized manner with good understanding of project and change management practices
Technical know-how and ability to use Microsoft Excel analytical features like Macros, pivot table is a must
Must be a self-starter, motivated individual who works well under pressure
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and coordinate tasks to meet multiple deadlines
Flexible and resilient, comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to a high-change environment and open to new concepts and / or processes
Ability to think strategically
BS / BA degree in Business; MBA or Masters
