The linguistic reviewers will be the indispensable contributor between first pass translation of our Marketing content and publishing (English to Portuguese).
This Cross-Business Unit role will consist in proof reading translations submitted by our translation vendor(s). This applies to public Web Content (Global or Business unit), Business Unit Product documentation, as ad hoc content (email campaigns, social posts, mobile ).
The reviewer may occasionally also act as a translator.
This position will report to the Latin America Digital Marketing Manager with dotted line to the Director of Marketing for Latin America.
Review Translated Content (primarily translated text) from Group Level Marketing and Business Units. This may include proofreading of final documents in some cases.
Translate content for Marketing Campaigns, Events, Social Media Strategy and any other request from Marcom and Digital team to improve the digital customer experience offering high quality content in local language.
This includes printed documentation and online content :
For online content (web pages, mobile applications, Emails, Social posts, etc.) the role might be extended to content creation or translator.
Prioritize his work in agreement primarily with the Digital Marketing Manager and the Global Translation Manager, following best practices.
Facilitate collection of relevant metrics and participate in process improvement suggested / setup by the Global Translation Manager so that progress can be reported to the Digital Council (speed, efficiency, capacity) and to the organization.
Will be the main contact for language queries and Terminology / Glossary questions in his / her language across Business units.
He / she will also be the referral for our Emerson Glossary, essential tool for our Translation Vendor(s).
Will need to get sufficient Emerson industry solutions and product knowledge (over time) to support review of most main product lines.
He / she will have to be involved in regular industry and product trainings.
