The Amazon Vision Operations Center (AVOC) team is an initiative, which remotely handles exceptions in the different Robotics use cases globally.

AVOC seeks to complement automated vision based decision-making technologies by providing remote human support for the subset of tasks which require higher cognitive ability and cannot be processed through automated decision making with high confidence.

This team provides end-to-end solutions through inbuilt competencies of Operations and strong central specialized teams to deliver programs at Amazon scale.

The New Business Development (NBD) team in AVOC manages multiple programs, with both synchronous and asynchronous requirements.

AVOC NBD is looking for a Program Manager II - Planning and Workforce Management, who is passionate about their work, understands how to manage resources across a network of sites, and who has the ability to contribute new innovations to the Amazon AVOC Global Planning & Workforce Management Team.

As a Program Manager on the team, you will enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.

You will communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing. The ideal candidate is a leader with demonstrated ability to implement Forecasting, Planning & Workforce management methodologies, process mapping, optimization techniques and make data driven decisions for project deliverables.

They will also possess an analytic, statistical and optimization background to enable tactical workforce planning. Cross-team collaboration, project management, and executive presentation skills are essential.

The successful candidate will work closely with multiple business teams, Site Operations, Recruitment, Training and Leadership.

A passion for developing a standard Global Planning & Workforce Management model is required, as is engaging your team to do the same.

This position will support our expansion to other geographies.

Primary responsibilities include :

  • Develop demand forecasts (short / med / long term) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances, refine the forecast model to reflect updated assumptions, and reduce forecast model variance.
  • Dive deep into forecasting planning models to identify risks and opportunities and resolve constraints by negotiating across demand and supply owners
  • Building models for headcount and capacity planning based on demand forecast
  • Developing metrics by which the organization can be measured, with regards to headcount capacity, utilization, and performance
  • Capture the right metrics to influence stakeholders and measure success
  • Lead critical projects to improve planning and forecasting efficiency for global operations
  • Promote process improvement and standardization of processes across all sites in the networ
  • Deadline driven, team player, with strong customer focus
  • Ability to appropriately gather, integrate and interpret data then utilize arrange of analytical tools to constructively challenge and test assumptions in order to identify improvements.
  • Ability to work within a team and manage / prioritize workload effectively, managing expectations with key stakeholders.

    However, once our company provides clearance, you will be required to continue working from our SJO16 building E-22, located in the America Free Zone (AFZ), Cariari, Heredia.
