Job Description
The SQL Database Administrator will manage daily database operations in collaboration with the other region DBA's and the different infrastructure teams.
Will work with a team who configures and maintains database servers and processes to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
In production environment will be responsible of fixing on a timely manner all incidents and implement appropriate changes.
These actions should be managed according to our standard operational processes.
Qualifications
Required Professional Expertise :
University degree relevant to the position : Telecommunications, Computers Engineer, Systems Engineer, other.
5 - 10 years' experience in Microsoft SQL server production context.
Experience in multi-site companies.
Technical Skills :
SQL knowledge
Strong troubleshooting method, performance analysis.
Knowledgeable on SQL Server versions : 2014 / 2016 / 2019
High availability configurations : Cluster / Log shipping / AlwaysOn
Transactional replication.
Reporting services, analysis services and integration services.
Used to transact-SQL syntax
ITIL certification and / or knowledge.
Infrastructure knowledge :
Networking
Active Directory
Windows Servers version : 2016 / 2019
Bonus Points :
Knowledge in Oracle DBA.
Azure SQL knowledge.
Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl).
Linux knowledge.
Additional Information
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Configuration management : Maintain the CMDB for DBA objects and ensure it is updated.
Event Management : Manage events coming from the SQL server; report monitoring issues
Incident management : Ensure resolution of SQL incidents.
Change management : Plan, Asses, Implement changes.
Technical ability to create Standard Operating Procedures as required.
