Track, analyze, administrate and negotiate hardware and software contract renewals. Defend existing favorable license and maintenance terms and price protection.

Identify and drive cost avoidance and savings opportunities. Coordinate with business unit and finance representatives to ensure approvals.

Recognize and escalate new language requiring Legal or licensing SME review.

Responsibilities :

  • Administrate and negotiate software license and maintenance renewals
  • Administrate and negotiate hardware maintenance renewals
  • Oversee software renewal database and SharePoint approval workflow
  • Provide follow up as needed to stakeholders for approval workflow
  • Initiate purchase requisitions for license & maintenance renewals
  • Analyze, interpret and report software license details
  • Interpret and understand different Software licensing models I.e subscription, License, maintenance, certificate
  • Identify and understand Software units of measure
  • Coordinate with Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement and Legal
  • Maintain software maintenance & license entitlement records
  • Ensure renewals comply with existing contractual agreements and license standards
  • Drive savings from maintenance / license optimization
  • Report cost reduction & avoidance benefits
  • Maintain renewal calendar extract reports to create new alerts
  • Initiate and monitor approval workflow and communicate deadlines to stakeholders
  • Track and ensure notice periods are met for cancellations
  • Lead cross-functional resources as required to achieve objectives
  • Provide periodic renewal statistics / reports
  • Data Mining / Exporting
  • Export quarterly report for new Software purchases
  • Help ITAM with decommission and discontinuation of assets
  • Assist Business units with disposals and shredding per security policies
  • Negotiate price increase within the threshold stablished by finance
  • Other duties as required
  • Required Skills / Training :

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Excellent organizational & administrative skills
  • Buying and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of software licensing models and compliance risks
  • Cross-functional team leadership skills
  • Strong analytical, research & problem solving skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • MS Office / Intermediate Excel / SharePoint
  • Software Licensing / Contract law
  • Ability to multitask
