Job Description

The OPEX Group lead is responsible for driving a Lean Conversion Program, while standardizing best practices across multiple plants.

Also responsible for expanding the continuous improvement culture throughout the plant and measuring the financial result of those actions.

Manages the Industrial Engineering activities including the Capacity analysis, layout administration and Information systems deployment.

Responsible of the training team, giving support to different departments. Job duties :

  • Leads a group of individuals of varying technical experience to develop continuous improvement and industrial engineering projects.
  • Manages the industrial engineering resources for site sustaining on capacity analysis, process simulation, layout changes and related duties as required.
  • Manages the Cost Reduction Program metrics for Operations.
  • Supports cost reduction projects within and across all departments focused on Operations, but not limited to Operations specifically.
  • Assists in establishing best practices to ensure the achievement of MicroVention safety, quality, and financial goals.
  • Assists in establishing baseline and target metrics for key processes.
  • Accepts the responsibility of a leadership role in improving processes.
  • Ability to problem solve and think independently in a constantly changing production environment.
  • Leads the change process by working closely with the Directors and leadership team.
  • Communicates projects status and issues in a timely, clear, and appropriate manner to the organization.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Industrial / Production / Chemical / Mechanical).
  • 3-6 years’ experience in medical device industry.
  • 2-5 years of Talent management / Supervisor experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification desired
  • Desired Qualifications

  • Must be able to directly lead and / or co-lead high-impact process improvement projects with demonstrated results.
  • Experience leading and facilitating improvement projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are key.
  • Successful experience working independently, effectively and confidently in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with multiple associates and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination ability with acute attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to train, coach and mentor.
  • Presentation skills required.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Project.
