Job Description

The Operational Excellence team strategically partners across Sage to deliver on business initiatives and priorities and collaborates with our Product team who ensures the successful, on-time launch of new solutions and products.

We are looking for a Project Manager who will be a key player and critical interface of execution for our Sage Intacct product organization by evaluating prioritized goals for our product development and GTM / commercialization initiatives, including handling updates, driving issue resolution, and tracking general launch metrics across diverse cross-functional teams.

This is a highly visible and impactful team and a significant role in helping us to continue scaling globally!

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, define, and refine the product project plan for each innovation phase : verify, incubate, and launch
  • Partner with the Product team to ensure that project plans can be effectively implemented and iterated, providing frontline feedback and innovative solutions
  • In alignment with the product strategy create and execute project plans, tailoring as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements while managing the operational aspects of the project and scope
  • Gain a broader sense and a well-rounded understanding of the project scope and ensure all plans are delivered on-strategy and on time and by enabling and driving communication and execution
  • Collaborate with Product leaders and colleagues to navigate ideas and opportunities, assess needs, and define desired outcomes and goals to achieve cross-functional alignment on operational, marketing, and business aspects of the plan
  • Identify Product program and process improvements that accelerate execution, and lead implementation of best practices
  • Collaborate through influence by building positive relationships, and personal credibility across the organization
  • Requirements :

  • 3+ years experience as a project manager supporting product development teams in a tech company (software preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with structured project management methodology (building schedules, risk management, reporting, and driving accountability)
  • Proven success managing multiple projects with shifting needs and priorities
  • Highly organized with an ability to drive clarity, ownership, accountability, workflows, and timelines
  • Able to gain alignment and drive action through effective communication and influence
  • Ability to identify and communicate any gaps or roadblocks, and to set priorities proactively and quickly
  • Creative problem solver, passionate about new ideas, learning through discovery, and isn’t afraid to have ideas challenged
  • Superb presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with an ability to handle challenging conversations with tact and diplomacy
  • Able to exercise independent judgment to identify and evaluate complex problems and implement solutions
  • Offices are located in San Jose, CA, and open to 100% remote. Must live in the US.
