The challenge

Adobe has a dedicated team to generate value across the Payments spectrum. Initially, this focus was solely on owning the business relationships with our acquiring banks and other partners annually processing Adobe’s $10B+.

We are now growing this focus to the card Networks, Issuers and Alternative Payment providers and you will focus on developing new or elevating existing payment partnerships to unlock gross new annual recurring revenue and increase retention strength among our paid customer base.

In addition, this role will serve as a link between the payment networks and Adobe’s Operations team to triage, route and resolve various issues or improvements that are required to optimize our payment processing success rates and unlock new, mutually beneficial partnerships.

Internally, you will coordinate across a diverse set of functions to enable these opportunities. With many opportunities in front of you, this role requires big picture" critical thinking and direct experience with the various commercial constructs used to structure co-marketing partnerships.


  • Own Adobe Payment’s relationships with select networks and issuers and elevate them to strategic partnerships that unlock more value for Adobe.
  • Partner with internal collaborators including Product, Business Development, Marketing, Legal, Treasury, Payments Risk / Operations and Regional Business Units to derive insights that drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Stay current on evolving industry trends with respect to co-marketing capabilities and how they can translate to distribution channels.
  • Develop tactics that support the core metrics enabling global payments success at checkout and subscription renewal.
  • Requirements

  • 5-7 years of business development, partnerships and strategy experience with an Issuer, Merchant, Acquiring bank, or one of the Global Networks.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to build financial models to secure funding for new opportunities and drive initiatives with Finance.
  • Ability to navigate, influence and drive complex topics through a matrixed organization that requires cross functional consensus.
  • A deep understanding of the digital payment ecosystem with knowledge of the attributes that present challenges to merchants in the CNP recur billing space.
  • An understanding of emerging co-marketing and loyalty trends that you will translate to strategies that elevate Adobe’s partnerships.
  • Ability to clearly and simply communicate concepts in a way that is easy for others without deep payments experience to understand.
  • BA / BS required, MBA a plus.
