  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent is desired
  • Strong problem solving / Analytic skills and can troubleshoot complex issues
  • Strong technical expertise and hands-on support experience with Windows (Windows 2008,2012 and Windows 2016), Active Directory.
  • Strong Windows Clustering knowledge

  • Good understanding of enterprise server hardware from Dell, HP, Cisco UCS
  • Strong technical expertise and hands-on support experience with VMware ESXi 5.5 and above. Should have expert level knowledge of vCenter Administration
  • Solid working knowledge of TCP / IP networking protocol, routing principles and network security
  • Strong technical expertise on concepts like DHCP, DNS
  • Experience with host security (e.g. passwords, uids / gids, ACLs, file permissions, file system integrity)
  • Strong knowledge of Scripting and Automations ( PowerShell, Python and Ansible etc).Can create scripting and workflow in these languages.
  • Should have understating of Agile / Devops model and can work in Agile Framework
  • Availability to work from 11am to 8pm from Monday to Friday
  • You’ll be based in San Jose, Costa Rica and will be part of our Managed Infrastructure Services (MIS) - Wintel team. MIS is an entity within McKinsey's worldwide IT organization that manages IT support services primarily for McKinsey firm members.

    The services are provided globally on a 24 / 7 basis out of several support centers in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

    Our IT hubs in San Jose, Costa Rica delivers services such as Global Infrastructure and Application Support and High Definition Video Conferencing (HDVC) and VoIP support, among several other services.

    You’ll provide administration and 2nd and 3rd level technical support for McKinsey’s firm-wide Windows servers, VMWare and Active Directory environments and related systems for security protection, monitoring, software distribution, etc.

    In this role you’ll contribute to the continuous improvement of these environments and related support procedures. Due to the global scope of IT operations all communication is in English, both for customer and team interactions.

    Typical for the role, you will encounter a variety of support requests in the defined area on a regular basis in a fast-paced environment.

    This will require you to be highly adaptable and open to work on new tasks, and you'll be responsible for keeping up with a rapidly changing environment through a strong willingness and ability to learn.
