Position Summary :
US Product Development Group’s (US PDG) mission is to build enterprise grade mission critical applications offering innovative solutions to our customers in countering a rapidly changing threat landscape.
The team has a long history of public cloud solution development and is proud in producing industry leading solutions widely adopted by our customers including award-winning InterScan product line, the Stargate / Cisco alliance product line, and various version one products from Trend Micro.
As a Staff Software Engineer , you will be working on mission critical enterprise software with top notch engineers. This role requires good communication skills in addition to a high degree of adaptability and creativity.
Expects to provide solutions to difficult problems, implement enterprise grade quality software independently, and collaborate with remote teams in other regions around the world.
Here are some of the general day-to-day responsibilities of this position :
Building out and architecting the necessary back-end components to provide flexible APIs to the front-end apps as well as customers, and getting the data necessary using highly performant serverless and cloud native technologies
Build and architect rich AWS Cloud Native applications with AWS API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB
Work with your squad in short sprints to achieve regular business and customer outcomes
Develop and own cloud-native software delivery pipeline to achieve rapid delivery to protection multiple times a day
2+ years software development experience
Understand CI / CD and how it requires a team wide commitment to testing automation and pipeline development
Knowledge of ETL and data pipelines
Knowledge of AWS services and / or other cloud providers
Knowledge of application development using cloud native technology such as AWS serverless, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudFormation / Terraform, CloudWatch, IAM, SQL / NoSQL, etc.
Knowledge of ML technologies and data processing, ex : Apache Spark, EMR, airflow, etc. or having MLOps experiences, ex : AWS SageMaker, MLFlow, etc. is a plus
Experience in Internet / security protocol implementation and troubleshooting is a plus
Must demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills
Good planning and effort estimation skills
Agile mentality and can-do spirit
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
Graduate degree a plus
